Often times this system works well. When it doesn\'t, you will need to override the automated settings and enter your own preferences. Doing so can be a bit complicated, as this machine has lots of intricate, detailed controls that may take some getting used to. In fact, we suspect that\'s why this dryer is designed to be set by the washer. Having individuals set it, with all its options, takes some patience. The good news is that once you have manually set cycles you have found to use often or like, you can enter them in the memory, allowing the machines to set them your way in the future. Obviously this GE dryer is for the techno-junkies among us. Those who prefer simple, easy and straightforward controls are unlikely to take the time needed to learn to operate this electronically sophisticated machine. Those who are fascinated with this ingenuity and want it to do our labor and our thinking for us, however, will love this technological wizard of a dryer
